Recipe: TO TRY WITH AAIDS DESI CHANA
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Aadi’s Organic Desi Chana, soaked overnight and boiled until tender
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons Aadi’s Pure Desi Cow Ghee
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat Aadi’s Pure Desi Cow Ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Add boiled Aadi’s Organic Desi Chana to the pan and mix until the chana is coated with the masala.
- Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavours are well combined.
- Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
Recipe: Aadi’s Organic Desi Chana Salad
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Aadi’s Organic Desi Chana, soaked overnight and boiled until tender
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons Aadi’s Pure Desi Cow Ghee (for tempering)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiled Aadi’s Organic Desi Chana, diced cucumber, diced tomato, chopped onion, fresh coriander leaves, and green chili (if using).
- Drizzle freshly squeezed lemon juice over the salad and sprinkle chaat masala and salt according to taste. Toss well to combine all the ingredients.
- In a small pan, heat Aadi’s Pure Desi Cow Ghee. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Optionally, add red chili powder for a spicy tempering. Stir for a few seconds.
- Pour the hot tempering over the salad and mix well to coat all the ingredients with the flavours of the tempering.
- Garnish the salad with fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of freshness.
