The taste of sambhar highly depends on the type of sambhar masala you add to the recipe. We have made a strong-flavored sambhar masala using an ample proportion of red chilli, coriander, rice, split bengal gram, asafoetida, black pepper, cumin seeds, cloves, split lentil and fenugreek seeds. In addition to that, we have also used sweet neem leaves, dry mango, turmeric, salt, mustard, sesame, dry coconut and cassia that helps to give strong aroma, smooth texture and tangy and spicy taste to the sambhar.
